I actually migrated from here to applecocacola because I didn't want to use this account name anymore. It's so... blah. So uninteresting. So unrepresentative. I made this account years ago, before I began to adopt Apple Coca Cola as my internet alias. Why should it not extend also to my activities on DA? Therefore it seemed imperative to form another account with the proper username.In doing so, I've generated cyber junk by discarding one account, which can't be deleted, and created another one for extremely superficial reasons.

Is there a cyber ecology I should worry about?

Anyways, I left a lot of the old sketches here at the old account. Some drawings will be posted under both accounts. I'd prefer if people faved the versions there, but it's not a big deal, and I can't beat everyone over the head with a stick about it.

Gonzo realizes he's an alien from outer space and declares so on television, and he's interviewed by no other than Miss Piggy, who dreams of becoming a TV news reporter and calls him "The Geek Who Fell to Earth."

CLEVER.

I wonder if Bowie laughed watching this.

It's not very recent, but it's beautifully filmed and a delight to anyone who loves fairy tales.

THE SNOW QUEEN, a 2002 Hallmark made-for-TV movie that's been released on DVD since.

And mostly because I see a lot of similarities between Jareth and the Snow Queen, not necessarily incarnated in Bridget Fonda but as an abstract personification of Winter that steals children.

If you happen to get your hands on a copy of the movie, please admire at your leisure the silly group of suitors prostrating themselves in desperate adoration.

It amuses me every time I consider the fact that David Bowie's real name is actually Davy Jones. Arrr, me hearties?

Apparently he chose Bowie as a stage name to prevent being mistaken for David Jones, the lead singer of The Monkees (people say they monkey around). I would've been worried about confusion with someone else entirely. Although it would have made a great persona, David Bowie the pirate. At least he's not tentacley and slimey.
